Bike Rack Brewing and Trailblazers

Trailblazers: Trailblazers is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to lead the development of an innovative regional recreation and transportation movement that places trails, cycling and active transportation infrastructure at the core of an inclusive, vibrant, and healthy culture.

Bike Rack Brewing and the Trailblazers have maintained a strong bond for the past few years. At Bike Rack, we take pride in being a supporter of the cycling community in NWA. Throughout the year, we actively seek opportunities to host, sponsor, and participate in various cycling events. Our partnership with Trailblazers is a source of great pride for us.

One way we demonstrate our support is by donating 10% of the proceeds from a specific beer directly to them. The Slaughter Pen IPA, one of our popular brews, has played a role in funding the construction and upkeep of our cherished bike trails. We are thrilled to share that we will be crafting a new beer this summer, with a portion of the sales proceeds going to support this non-profit organization. This time, we are naming it Trailblazers to be more transparent, aiming to raise awareness for the cause.

Other ways we demonstrate our support include organizing TAP events, supplying beer for biweekly group cleanups, displaying posters in our taproom, and hosting a semi-annual concert series where a portion of the weekend's earnings is donated. During our latest concert in late spring 2024, we were able to contribute $5008.70. We had everything set for the concert and beer production before the tornado struck, just a week prior to the event. The tornado's aftermath has significantly affected the reach of our donations.

There are a few trails that are undergoing significant changes. Unfortunately, Hammer Down, Urban Trail, and Angus Chute will require complete redesigning, but this won't happen anytime soon.

If you are unable to adopt a trail or participate in a group cleanup event listed on our website under events, there are alternative ways to contribute. Simply by walking the trails attentively, you can help identify any damage like broken bridges or erosion that needs attention. Your assistance in reporting any issues directly to Trailblazers would be greatly appreciated. If you do decide to walk the trails, please exercise caution, especially watching out for fallen trees above.

We are extremely proud to collaborate with such a fantastic organization that sustains our lively cycling community. Thank you all for backing these initiatives and even volunteering individually. Our goal is to restore these unique NWA trails for use as soon as possible.
